Microsoft Windows Vista comes with the Nyala font and an Amharic keyboard built in. We describe how to set this up on our YouTube page (see Links). We were unable to find documentation for typing in Vista, so we have described the keyboard layout below. Start with a consonant on the left and follow with the vowels (e,u,i,a,ie,',o,ua) listed at the top. The distinct marks are the apostrophe for the 6th order and the period (.) for hameru ha and the ejectives. Nyala Font and the keyboard within Windows Vista are licensed by Microsoft, not by SelamSoft. This table is provided for educational purposes only.
